Paul Jackson, 65 died Monday (Aug 20) afternoon at his home, 617 E. Wabash Ave. He had been ill for the past 10 months. Jackson, who worked as a maintenance man at the Pike Street Recreation Center until his illness was a native of Tompkinsville, Ky and moved to Crawfordsville 5 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, a daughter, Laverne Maxwell of Williamstown NJ; and a son Shirley Dean Jackson of Frankfort Ky. Other survivors are four brothers, Dee Jackson and Hansell Jackson of Three Oaks, Mich; Berry B. Jackson of Crawfordsville and Hughie Jackson of Mace; and three sisters, Dolly Bowles and Opal Brown of Indianapolis and Pearl Smith of Tompkinsville, Ky. Also surviving are three grandsons and several nieces. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, John C and Elnora Shirley Jackson. Funeral services and burial will be Wednesday afternoon in Tompkinsville, Ky. - kbz
